VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team dropped a NACC battle with Aurora University on Wednesday evening at Edgewood College Field at Reddan Park. The Spartans scored early in the first half and held on for a 1-0 final.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (7-4-3, 4-3-0 NACC) struggled to get much going offensively Wednesday, finishing the match with just seven shots, five on goal. The Eagles defense was busy, only allowing one goal from the Spartans quick offense.
- Hailey Corcoran and Hailey Hartel combined for four saves on the evening. Corcoran, recording three following her start.
- McKenna Kunz scored in the 10th minute for the only goal of the contest. Kunz was assisted by Lauren Bliefernicht.
- The Eagles were outshot 18-7 on the evening. Edgewood College and Aurora University (5-3-3, 4-1-2 NACC) both put five shots on goal. Rylee Brotz led the Eagles with three shots, all on goal.
