Eagles, Cougars play to scoreless NACC draw

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Edgewood College women's soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie with Concordia Chicago on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles attack had many opportunities in the second half, but the Cougars defense and goalkeeping of Auloni Burnell kept Edgewood College off the scoreboard.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (8-6-4, 5-5-1 NACC) had quite a few opportunities in the second half of action on Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles managed 13 shots after the break, putting four on goal. In total, the Eagles outshot the Cougars 18-4 on the afternoon.

- NACC foe, Concordia Chicago (3-10-3, 3-6-2 NACC) recorded just one shot in the second half of action and only managed to put two shots on goal the entire 90 minutes.

- Six different Eagles managed a shot in the contest. Greta Blau led the way with seven shots. Marley Satran and Madi Johnson each managed three shots, two on goal.

- Addison Alexander led the Cougars with two shots, both on goal.

- Hailey Hartel recorded all 90 minutes in net for Edgewood College. She totaled two saves. Her counterpart, Burnell recorded five saves, holding down the Cougars defense.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Eagles draw with the Cougars is their fourth of the season, the most ever recorded in an Edgewood College women's soccer season.

- Edgewood College will head to Marian University on Saturday, October 21. Action is set for 2:00 p.m. from Fond du Lac, Wis.
