VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Eagles women's soccer squad hosted Senior Day and Edgewood College Tackles Cancer Saturday in Edgewood College Field at Reddan Park. The Eagles battled with the Lakeland Muskies in a Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) battle. Edgewood College (8-6-3, 5-5 NACC) clamped down on the Lakeland (5-10, 2-8 NACC) offense, while the offense put home three goals for a 3-0 victory.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College had several opportunities in the first half.
Kamy Luecke struck first unassisted at 15:33 for what turned into the game-winning goal but also the lone score of the half.
- The Eagles outshot the Muskies 10-to-1 in the first half.
- Edgewood College entered the second half shorthanded for the rest of the game, but
Greta Blau took advantage of multiple opportunities. She beat a defender at 45:43 for her seventh goal of the season with an assist from
Rylee Brotz, then cashed in a crosser from
Marija Peharda at 55:36 to the bottom left corner of the net for the final goal of the afternoon.
- Blau led all Eagles with three shots on goal, while
Marley Satran had a pair of her own. Four other Edgewood College attackers posted shots on goal as the team finished with an 11-to-1 advantage in the category.

Hailey Hartel recorded the only save for the Eagles in the victory. Faith Turley had seven for Lakeland in a losing effort.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The victory snapped a three-match losing skid for Edgewood College.
- The Eagles have now won 21 in a row over the Muskies with a 38-4 overall record in the series.
- Blau is now tied for the team lead in goals with eight.
- The Senior Day celebrated the achievements and accomplishments of seniors
