MILWAUKEE, Wis – The Edgewood Eagles women's tennis squad continued their 2022 fall slate Wednesday. They traveled to face MSOE in a Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) showdown. The Eagles (3-3, 3-0 NACC) came out on top for their third straight victory, defeating the Raiders (2-4, 2-1) in 9-0 fashion.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Doubles set the tone for Edgewood College.
Cecile Fuchs and
Ellie Murphy earned an 8-0 victory in slot one, while
Jewel Lindwall and
Maddy Coopmans duplicated the effort in no. 2 doubles.
Evelyn Taylor and
Madelyn Connaughty wrapped up the doubles sweep with an 8-2 win in the third match.
- Lindwall posted a 6-0, 6-2 tally in slot one, while Murphy clinched the match with a near-perfect 6-1, 6-0 outing in no. 2 singles.
- Taylor and Coopmans followed up their strong doubles showings with 6-1, 6-1 and 6-2, 6-0 wins in no. 3 and no. 4 singles.

Christina Ekkela and
Cassie Henderson wrapped up the sweep in no. 5 and no. 6 singles. Ekkela posted a 6-0, 6-3 final, while Henderson put a bow on the night with a 6-2, 6-2 victory.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE
- The Eagles are now 18-0 against the Raiders since the 2007 season.
- Edgewood College continued to show their depth, with the match being the third straight 9-0 outing that featured eight different Eagles.

Edgewood College will head out for their second-straight NACC road matchup on Saturday. First serve is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at Wauwatosa, Wis. against Wisconsin Lutheran. The Eagles have won 13 in a row against the Warriors and are 18-2 in the series since the 2004-05 season.
