APPLETON, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's soccer program continued their 2022 slate with a trip up north to face the Lawrence Vikings Saturday afternoon. The Eagles (0-3-1) couldn't overcome the Vikings (1-2-1) in what was a low-scoring affair until the final minutes of play. They fell in the non-conference matchup 3-0.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lawrence dominated the first half with seven shots to the Eagles none
- The Vikings put home the first goal at 13:25 in the first half, and tacked on an insurance goal at 70:27 in the second half. The final Lawrence goal came at the 86:07 mark.
- Lawrence outshot Edgewoood College 10-2 on goal.

Ty Bienema recorded six saves on the afternoon and helped the Eagles stay within striking distance for most of the afternoon.

Austin Hauser had a shot on goal each for Edgewood College.
- Konstantinos Fardellas shined for the Vikings, scoring two goals off of three shots on goal including the game-winner.

- The series is now tied up at 3-3-1 after the Vikings victory. Lawrence has won two of the last three over the Eagles.
- Edgewood College has not won a non-conference matchup since 2019.

- The Eagles enter Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) play Wednesday with a road matchup at MSOE. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in the conference opener at Milwaukee, Wis. Edgewood College leads the series 22-20 over the Raiders since 1990, but have lost the last 11 meetings.
