MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Edgewood College Baseball team dropped game two of a three-game set with Huntingdon College, 10-2, on Saturday afternoon. For the second-straight day, the Eagles defense was shaky, only on Saturday the Hawks were able to take advantage in evening the weekend series.
HAWKS 10, EAGLES 2
- Seven of the 10 runs Huntingdon (6-6) scored on Saturday were unearned as Edgewood College made six errors for the second-straight day. Huntingdon broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth, scoring five runs (four unearned) to take a 7-1 lead.
- The Eagles were only outhit, 11-8, as
Joseph Kalafut led the way with a 3-for-4 performance. Kalafut has been locked in thus far this season, batting .500 in four starts.

Tim Kelly had a solid day at the plate as well for Edgewood College, going 2-for-3.
Connor Goodwin added a double.
- The Hawks were led by Innes Mackay as the designated hitter finished the game 2-for-3 with a triple and a home run. Colton Clark also had a solid day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBI. Ryan Greene scored three times for Huntingdon, while Andrew Knight went 2-for-4 with a couple of runs.
- The Eagles used six different pitchers on Saturday with
Eric Nelson getting the start. Nelson gave up five runs, but just one of those was earned as he struck out three batters.
Leo Stone was the most effective reliever with two scoreless frames.
- Eddie Patterson got the win for Huntingdon, throwing five innings with two runs allowed. Tucker Duke earned the save with four scoreless innings of relief.
