HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (3-4, 3-0 NACC) dropped just three points in three doubles wins to open things up. All three wins were convincing, but the most dominant was the No. 2 duo of

Ellie Murphy who rolled to an 8-0 win.
-
Cecile Fuchs and
Ally Verbauwhede netted an 8-1 win at No. 1 singles and
Maddy Coopmans and
Maeryn Shepherd secured an 8-2 win in their No. 3 doubles match.
- Fuchs was the first to finish in singles play, not dropping a point in a 6-0, 6-0 decision. Her doubles teammate, Verbauwhede, posted the same score in her No. 3 singles matches, while Murphy also did not surrender a point in her 6-0, 6-0 No. 4 singles win.
- Coopmans and Carew each added to their day with another win in singles play. Coopmans went 6-2, 6-1 in her No. 5 singles bout, while Carew posted a 6-1, 6-2 victory at No. 2 singles.
-
Callie Belschner got the nod in the No. 6 singles spot in the lineup and gained a 6-1, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4) victory to complete the 9-0 victory for Edgewood College.
