VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Soccer team was shut out, 3-0, to begin NACC play against MSOE Wednesday. The loss drops the Eagles to 0-4 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Edgewood College (0-4, 0-1 NACC) defense held strong through the first half of action, as Jack Gentner made four stops in goal and did not allow a score despite 11 shots from the Raiders offense. There were early opportunities for the Eagles as Sal Genco tested the Raiders defense in the 17th minute and was denied a goal by inches.

- MSOE (3-2, 1-0 NACC) struck in the 57th minute, as Zach Thompson connected on a pass from Daniel D'Amato to give the Raiders a 1-0 lead. The Raiders found the back of the net once again in the 68th minute, as Jack Van Dyke took advantage of a free kick opportunity deep in the Eagles defensive zone to take a 2-0 lead.

- Edgewood College finished with five shots and placed three of those on goal. Sal Genco fired two shots, both on goal for the Eagles. Ultimately the Eagles were outshot 25-5 in the contest, with nine of the Raiders shots on goal.
