MILWAUKEE, Wis. – On Sunday afternoon the Eagles offense exploded for seven goals and routed Alverno College 7-0. Four different Eagles found the back of the net in the final NACC regular season contest, as Mandy Fitzgerald notched her first career hat trick.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- It was the highest scoring game of the season as Edgewood College (5-3, 5-3 NACC) won the final game of the regular season in dominant fashion. The Eagles dominated the second half of competition, as the offense scored seven.
- Siobhan Gallagher scored her third goal of the season and the Eagles first of the game just two minutes into the second period.
- Fitzgerald was responsible for three of the Eagles' first five goals. The freshman struck first in the 48th minute, assisted by Leah Doucette.
- Anja Von Klopp scored the Eagles third game of the shutout in the 55th minute.
- The 5-0 lead wasn't enough for Edgewood College as Aubrey Tarmann and Haley Wilkinson added goals six and seven in the 83rd and 89th minute.
- Edgewood College outshot Alverno 52-8, led by Leah Doucette with eight shots, four on goal.
- Goalkeeper Grace Wildeboer managed just one save in the victory, with Kenzie Bermudez notching 16 saves for the Inferno.

- Edgewood College will head to the NACC North Division Semifinals on Wednesday, April 21. The Eagles secure the number three seed and will play either MSOE or Concordia Wisconsin.
