Falcons hold Eagles at bay

VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team played their final regular season home contest of the season on Wednesday night, falling to Concordia University Wisconsin 5-0. The Eagles struggled to get much going offensively as the high-powered Falcons offense dominated with two goals in the first half and three goals in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Despite struggling to contain the Concordia University Wisconsin (7-1, 7-0 NACC) offense, Edgewood College (4-3, 4-3 NACC) made some good offensive runs, taking 11 shots, with three on goal. Marley Satran led the Eagles offense with three shots, two on goal.

- Grace Wildeboer made eight saves in containing the Falcons, three coming in the first half and five in the second half of action.

- The Falcons scored two of their five goals in the first 45 minutes of action, as Karoline Haugland scored her first of two goals just four minutes into action. Haugland would score the Falcons final goal in the 88th minute, both goals assisted by Isabel Downs.

- Downs scored twice for Concordia Wisconsin, once in the 12th minute and again after the break. Allison McElwee scored the Falcons fourth goal in the 63rd minute, assisted by Downs.

UP NEXT
- Edgewood College will head to Alverno College on Sunday for their final NACC regular season contest. Action from Milwaukee is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
