MILWAUKEE – Tyler Nelson scored his second goal of the season in the 64th minute to give the Edgewood College Men's Soccer team a 1-1 draw against Wisconsin Lutheran College on Sunday night. The Warriors scored in the first half before the second-half score from Nelson evened the league contest up.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nelson found the ball after a deflection in the 64th minute and beat the Warriors keeper to the right post for the Eagles (0-5-2, 0-5-2 NACC) lone goal on Sunday. His second score of the year tied the match at 1-1, which would hold for the remainder of the contest.

Brendon Martin made five saves, all five coming in either the second half or one of the overtime sessions, for the Eagles. He had three saves in the second half and one in each of the extra sessions.
- The Warriors (2-3-2, 2-3-2 NACC) outshot Edgewood College, 17-10, but the Eagles did end up with one more shot on goal (7-6). Puma Galvan finished with six saves for the Warriors.

Kevin Garcia, and Nelson all recorded two shots on goal for the Eagles.
- The Wisconsin Lutheran College score came early as Jason Cano scored in the 10th minute. He took a pass from Ben Meaux to put the Warriors in front.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- This was the second match of the season between Edgewood College and Wisconsin Lutheran. The Warriors won the '2020' opener on 3-1 in Verona, Wisconsin on March 19, 2021.

- Edgewood College will conclude its season on Wednesday with a trip to Mequon, Wisconsin to face Concordia University Wisconsin. The match is set for a 4 p.m. start at Fitting Field.
