Eagles season closes with loss to Falcons

MEQUON, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Soccer team closed out the 2020 season with a 7-0 loss to Concordia University Wisconsin. The Eagles struggled to find the back of the net despite taking 10 shots, three on goal.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia University Wisconsin (5-1-1, 5-1-1 NACC) didn't waste any time scoring, as Tyler Salvador found the back of the net in the first 19 seconds of action. The Falcons would connect four more times before the break. Nick Hummel and Ivan Cuellar both score in the 26th minute, while Bobby McNealy scored the Falcons fourth goal in the 29th minute fifth in the 41st minute.

- The Falcons added to their five-goal lead just five minutes into the second half, as Ivan Cuellar connected for his second goal of the night, assisted by Gilberto Gomez. Jacob Hilbrandt scored the seventh and final goal of the night in the 75th minute off a pass from Jacob Schmidt.

- Edgewood College (0-6-2, 0-6-2 NACC) took 10 shots in the contest, seven coming in the second half of action. Edwin Aguirre, Jorge Castellanos, Brian Root, and Tyler Nelson each took two shots for the Eagles.

- In just his second start of the season Ty Bienema collected a career-high nine saves for the Eagles.
