VERONA, Wis – The Edgewood College Men's Soccer team fell to Wisconsin Lutheran College 3-1 in their season opener. The Eagles scored first, as Zander Hartberg scored the first goal on Edgewood College Field at Reddan Soccer Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (0-1, 0-1 NACC) scored first, finding the back of the net in the 16th minute. Zander Hartberg scored for the Eagles, connecting off a pass from Jorge Castellanos. The Eagles attack would take five more shots before Wisconsin Lutheran (1-0, 1-0 NACC) responded.

- Ben Meaux tied things up and scored the Warriors first goal in the 33rd minute. Wisconsin Lutheran College would add one more goal before the break, with Tony Bedolla finding the back of the net in the 44th minute.

- The Warriors lead would remain for the rest of the contest, as they added one more goal in the 60th minute from Joseph Raasch.

- The Eagles managed nine shots in the second half. In total, Edgewood College took 20 shots, 10 of which were on goal.

- Hartberg led the Eagles with four shots taken, three of which were on goal. Aldon Lumani added three shots of his own. Brendon Martin tallied eight saves for the Eagles.
