VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team dropped a 3-1 contest against Benedictine University Saturday. Despite a first half goal from Carolyn Evers, the Eagles offense struggled to find the back of the net in the battle of the Eagles. The loss drops the Eagles (3-9-1) to 3-5 in NACC play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Edgewood College goal came in the 40th minute and was the third goal of the season for Evers. Her score was unassisted and came with just 4:31 left in the first half.
- Benedictine University (4-10, 4-4 NACC) scored twice in the first half and the once more after the break in building a 3-1 lead. Anna Dudziak tallied one goal for Benedictine, while Emma Evans notched the game-winner in the 74th minute.
- Edgewood College was outshot, 21-4, on Saturday. Ashley Price and Evers both took two shots each for Edgewood College.
- Mackenzie Jones and Hailey Corcoran split time in the net for Edgewood College, collecting five and three saves, respectively.

- Edgewood College is set to end a four-game homestand on Wednesday, October 13 against Lakeland University. Seniors Grace Wildeboer, Anna Benitez, Cassidy Kloos, and Carolyn Evers will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. at Edgewood College Field.
