VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Soccer team rolled to a 3-0 victory over Lakeland University Wednesday night. Cassidy Kloos, Siobhan Gallagher, and Sydney Feldner each scored for the Eagles in the conference victory. The Eagles also celebrated the careers of four seniors at halftime.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (4-9-1, 4-5 NACC) scored twice in the opening half, the first Kloos, before Gallagher would give them a 2-0 advantage at the break. Kloos scored in the 8th minute on a header of a corner kick from Gallagher. Junior, Gallagher, scored in the 35th minute, sending a free kick into the top right of the net.
- In the second half, Feldner gave the Eagles a 3-0 lead with a score in the 67th minute. Leah Doucette whizzed past the Muskies defense and made a picture perfect pass to Feldner who found the back of the net.
- On the night Grace Wildeboer collected three shots, while Doucette, Mandy Fitzgerald, Feldner and Kristen Palmer each took two shots.
- Hailey Corcoran and Mackenzie Jones split time in goal for the Eagles and combined for nine saves, two and seven, respectively.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- At halftime the Eagles celebrated four outstanding seniors who have made a great impact on the program. This year's senior class consists of: Anna Benitez, Carolyn Evers, Cassidy Kloos, and Grace Wildeboer.
