Stars Shut Down Eagles in Conference Play

VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team played their final home match of the season against Dominican University on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles struggled to produce offensively in the league tilt as the Stars secured a 6-0 victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-Edgewood College (4-12-1, 4-8 NACC) fell behind in the fourth minute as Sophia Bartridge put Dominican University (14-2-2, 11-1 NACC) up 1-0.

- Just 12 minutes later, the Stars struck again with a score from Regan Coxon. Coxon would score the next three for the hat trick, the second on a penalty kick and the third assisted by Alexandria Canarelli in the 52nd minute.

- Dominican would tack on its fifth goal in the 52nd minute off the foot of Katie Norlie. Norlie would score the Stars final goal on a penalty kick.  Dominican outshot the Eagles 17-1 in the first period and 11-5 in the second.

- The Eagles couldn't muster up much offense as they were limited to just six shots for the contest, two on goal. Grace Wildeboer and Siobhan Gallagher both notched two shots for Edgewood College, with Gallagher's both on goal. Zoe Winter and Sierra Connell both recorded a shot.

- Mackenzie Jones started the match and played the first 45 minutes for the Eagles, making one save before being replaced by Hailey Corcoran who notched three saves in the second half. Ashely Ishman picked up the win for Dominican, making two saves.

- The Eagles will conclude the NACC regular season in Fond du Lac, Wis. on Wednesday, October 27. The NACC road tilt at Marian University is set to start at 7:00 p.m.
