FOND DU LAC, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team scored two second-half goals, but it wasn't enough as the Eagles were edged in their 2021 season finale at Marian University, 3-2.
Cassidy Kloos and
Mandy Fitzgerald each netted goals for the Eagles Wednesday night.
SABRES 3, EAGLES 2
- The Eagles (4-13-1, 3-9-0 NACC) trailed 2-0 before Kloos scored her second goal of the season in the 60th minute.
Siobhan Gallagher started the score with a free kick from 25 yards out, which was touched by
Marley Satran before Kloos finished for the goal.
- Marian (9-8-1, 8-5-0 NACC) responded less than five minutes later with a score from Meghan Batzner. The Eagles would get within one once again when Fitzgerald netted her first goal of the season. Gallagher assisted on that goal as well.

Grace Wildeboer went back to her original position of goalkeeper for the final game of her impressive career for Edgewood College. The Eagles all-time saves leader added seven more to her total. She finishes her career with 467 saves.
- The Sabres first two goals came from Ashley Welk. Welk put Marian on the bird early, scoring 5:28 into the match. She then scored 5:26 into the second half to make the score 2-0.
- Edgewood College finished the match with 11 shots, five on goal. Satran led the Eagles with three shots. Marian totaled 25 shots, 10 of those on goal.

- The match wraps up the careers of four Eagles seniors.

Carolyn Evers, and Wildebeor played their final matches of their Eagles careers on Wednesday night.
