Scarlet Hawks down Eagles in NACC match

CHICAGO, Ill. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team dropped a NACC match with Illinois Tech, 8-1, Saturday afternoon at Stuart Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Scarlet Hawks scored four times in the first half and added four more after the break for the 8-1 final.

- Siobhan Gallagher scored the lone Edgewood College (4-10-1, 4-6 NACC) goal in the 53rd minute on a free-kick.

- Elena Esparcia-Canada, who is fifth in the NACC in goals, scored a whopping four goals for Illinois Tech (10-4-1, 7-3 NACC).

- Lucy Jorjorian, Lisa Rios, Julia Taliana, and Savanna Gonzalez each added a goal for the Scarlet Hawks.

- Hailey Corcoran and Mackenzie Jones split time for the Eagles in goal, collecting two and five saves, respectively. Edgewood College totaled six shots, five of those on goal. Gallagher finished the match with three shots, two on goal.

UP NEXT
- The Eagles will take on Concordia Wisconsin on Wednesday at Edgewood College Field at Reddan Park. The home NACC match is set to take place at 7:00 p.m.
