Fetherston, Ignoffo shoot Eagles to NACC Tournament Berth

CHICAGO – Parker Fetherston and Sydney Ignoffo were locked in on Saturday. The duo connected on a combined 12 3-pointers, including a school-record seven makes from Fetherston, as the Edgewood College Women's Basketball team picked up a 79-42 win over Illinois Tech Saturday. The win also clinched a spot in the NACC Tournament for the Eagles, their first appearance since the 2014-15 season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Coming into Saturday, the Eagles (18-2, 13-2 NACC) individual record for made 3-point shots was six, which was accomplished nine different times. Fetherston made three from deep in the first half and buried four more after the break to set the new school mark. Fetherston finished the game 7-for-9 from deep and led the Eagles with 24 points.

- Ignoffo was also locked in from 3-point range on Saturday, making 5-of-9 from 3-point range and finishing with 17 points. The duo combined for all 12 of the Eagles makes from distance, which also resulted in the second most 3-point makes as a team in program history. Edgewood College netted 13 made 3-point shots last season at Rockford University.

- Perhaps what was most impressive about Fetherston and Ignoffo's combined 41 points was that it came in just 34 total minutes of action for the duo. Fetherston played 18 minutes and Ignoffo 16, both players catching fire when they were on the court.

- Illinois Tech (0-18, 0-13 NACC) was going to make the Eagles beat them with the 3-point shot on Saturday, as Edgewood College finished the game with 37 attempts, also tying a program-record.

- The Eagles held a 38-26 halftime lead before running away from the Scarlet Hawks in the second half. Edgewood College held Illinois Tech to 16 points in the second half, eight each in the third and fourth quarters, while scoring 41 points themselves over the final 20 minutes of play.

- The Edgewood College defense was smothering in the second half, holding Illinois Tech to 25 percent shooting after the break. Meanwhile, the Eagles shot 39.5 percent (15-for-38) in the second half, while Fetherston and Ignoffo had seven of their 12 made 3's over the final 20 minutes.

- Bria Lemirande pulled down nine rebounds for Edgewood College in the win, while Mia Edwards grabbed six boards. Emma Klein added eight points and five rebounds in the win.
