MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team erupted for eight goals in an 8-0 win over Eureka College Tuesday evening at Goodman Sports Complex. The Eagles scored three times in the first half and added five more scores after the break for the easy non-league win.
HOW IT HAPPENED

Maddy Solder led the way with two goals, scoring the first goal of each half. Solder struck in the ninth minute for the eventual game-winning goal and added her second score 49th minute.
Shannon Kaufmann, who scored the Eagles second goal of the night, assisted on Solder's second score as well.
- After Kaufmann made the score 2-0,
Olivia De Castro gave Edgewood College a 3-0 lead in the 27th minute off an assist from
Kristen Palmer. The Eagles outshot Eureka, 28-0, in the first half, and finished with a 62-1 edge in shots for the match.
- In the second half, after Solder made it 4-0,
Cassidy Johnson put the Eagles up five with the first goal of her collegiate career.
Carolyn Evers set up Johnson's goal in 66th minute.

Anna Fischer and Palmer got on the board with their first collegiate goals to make it 8-0. Palmer added an assist on Fischer's goal, her second helper of the night, while
Ashley Siegel assisted on the final goal of the match from Palmer.

Grace Wildeboer picked up the win at keeper as she wasn't tested on Tuesday with the Eagles controlling possession throughout.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The eight goals are the most for the Eagles since the 2015 season. The last time Edgewood College scored eight times in a match was in an 8-0 over Lakeland on October 17, 2015.
