VERONA, Wis. – A UW-Whitewater goal in the 79th minute proved to be the difference Friday night as the Edgewood College Men's Soccer team dropped a non-conference match, 1-0. Brendon Martin finished with five saves for the Eagles
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hozai Ceballos took advantage of commotion in the box, converting a rebound into a goal for the lone score of the night.
- Edgewood College (1-3-1) put up 12 shots total on Friday, three of those on goal. Aeneas Sala led the Eagles offense with three shots, while Sean Surtees, Edwin Aguirre, Zander Hartberg, and Jorge Castellanos each took two shots a piece.
- UW-Whitewater (6-0) finished the match with 21 shots, six on goal. The Warhawks took a total of 14 shots in the first half, but the Martin and the Eagles defense were able to keep the contest scoreless through the most dominant half of offense from the Warhawks.
