MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Tennis team won its second-straight NACC match after taking care of Lakeland University Saturday morning. The Eagles picked up two wins in doubles play and three more in singles in dealing Muskies a 5-4 setback at Quann Park.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles won both doubles matches played Saturday with Lakeland picking up one doubles win via default. At. No. 1 doubles it was
Marius Dornhagen Schradermeier and
Sabastion Seeger cruising to an 8-2 victory for Edgewood College (6-11, 4-2 NACC).
- The No. 2 tandem of
Jackson Venske and
Tommy Ebben had little trouble as well Saturday morning as they rolled to an 8-1 win in their match.
- In singles play the two teams ended up splitting the results, 3-3, allowing the Eagles to gain the 5-4 conference win. The Eagles won three of four matches played, while the Muskies gained a No. 4 singles win, as well as wins via default at the No. 5 and 6 single spots.
- Dornhagen Schradermeier netted an easy 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 1 singles with Seeger posted the reverse of that, 6-1, 6-0, in his No. 2 singles win. Venske added a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 3 singles for Edgewood College.

- The Eagles will take a break from NACC play with a non-conference visit to UW-Whitewater Monday evening. The Eagles and Warhawks are set for a 7 p.m. start at Wangerin Courts in Whitewater, Wisconsin.
