MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College moved its NACC record back over .500 with a convincing 6-1 win over Wisconsin Lutheran College Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles won all six matches played, while dropping a match via default in the league win.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles started the day by winning both doubles matches. At the No. 1 position it was the duo of
Marius Dornhagen Schradermeier and
Sabastion Seeger picking up the victory, an 8-2 victory.
- The No. 2 doubles match went in favor of the Eagles as well with
Jackson Venske and
Tommy Ebben rolling to an 8-1 win.
- The Eagles went 4-1 in singles play, winning all four matches played with the No. 5 match going to the Warriors via default. All four wins were in straight sets for the Eagles.
- Dornhagen Schradermeier went 6-0, 6-2 for his No. 1 singles victory, while Seeger netted a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles. Venske posted a 6-1, 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot and Ebben cruised 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The win was the 10th-straight for the Eagles in the series against Wisconsin Lutheran. Since the 2011 season, Edgewood College is 12-1 against Wisconsin Lutheran.
