FORT MYERS, Fla. – Williams College defeated the Edgewood College Baseball team on its final day of its 2019 spring trip. The Eagles fell by a 12-1 final and concluded the trip with a 2-6 record.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Ephs scored in six of its first seven at-bats, including plating two in the first inning. Doug Schaffer, who tallied three hits and four RBI for Williams, drove in two of those runs with a triple in the first.
- Williams scored the game's first 12 runs, including a four-run sixth inning which came between two-run frames in the fifth and sixth. The Eagles wouldn't get on the board until the bottom of the eighth when

Max Orput with a sacrifice fly.

Ryan Fields was the lone Edgewood College player with multiple hits, going 2-for-4 at the dish with a double.
Kamdan Bloom added a double for the Eagles.

Connor Schatzberg, one of five pitchers used, took the loss for the Eagles, working four innings. Sam Rohrer got the win for Williams, allowing just two hits with four strikeouts in five innings.

- Edgewood College will play three games at Wabash this weekend. The first of those will be a single game Saturday at 2 p.m. eastern, before a doubleheader beginning at noon Sunday.
