HILTON HEAD, S.C. – With the match tied 4-4, senior
Sabastion Seeger picked up a third-set tiebreak win to clinch a 5-4 Edgewood College Men's Tennis victory Wednesday afternoon against Oswego State. The win closed a three-match spring trip for the Eagles.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles won five of six matches played Wednesday, dropping the other three via default. Seeger,
Marius Dornhagen Schradermeier, and
Tommy Ebben all went 2-0 in their matches.
- Dornhagen Schradermeier and Seeger posted an 8-5 win at No. 1 singles, while Ebben and
Jackson Venske cruised to an 8-2 win in their No. 2 doubles match. The wins helped Edgewood College take a 2-1 lead into singles play.
- Dornhagen Schrademeier cruised in his opening set, 6-0, before posting a 7-5 set two win to complete his No. 1 singles victory. Ebben added a straight sets, 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 4 singles.
- The stage was set for Seeger who rallied for his No. 2 singles win. He dropped the opening set, 3-6, before posting a 6-4 set two victory. Seeger would win the tiebreaker (up to 10, win by two) by a 10-5 count to give the Eagles their second win of the season.

- The Eagles will celebrate Senior Day as they host Cornell College at Hitters Sportsplex Saturday at 3 p.m. Seeger is the lone Senior on the men's tennis roster.
