HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Edgewood College Men's Tennis team began a three-match trip in South Carolina with a battle against Stevenson University Monday morning. The Eagles fell by a 7-2 score in a very close contest which saw four matches go to a tiebreaking scenario.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles split the two doubles matches played (No. 3 doubles was a Stevenson win by default) on Monday. The duo of
Marius Dornhagen Schradermeier and
Sabastion Seeger netted an 8-7 (7-2) win in a thrilling No. 1 doubles match.

Tommy Ebben posted the other victory for Edgewood College, winning a third-set tiebreaker at No. 4 singles. Ebben rolled 6-1 in his opening set, before falling 5-7 in set two. He would go on for a 10-4 tiebreaking win for the Eagles.
- Three of the four singles matches went to the third set tiebreaking scenario, including Ebben's. Dornhagen Schradermeier (No. 1 singles) and Seeger (No. 2 singles) both fell in the tiebreaker on Monday.
UP NEXT
- Edgewood College has two more matches in South Carolina, beginning Tuesday against Messiah College at noon eastern. The Eagles will close the trip Wednesday versus Oswego State.
