HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Eagles trailed 7-5 heading into the bottom of the eighth inning Saturday, but rallied for three runs to take their first lead, 8-7.
Ryan Fields delivered the big hit in the frame, a two-out, two-RBI double, plating
Alex Prindle and Orput. Lasell would tie the game up in the top of the ninth.
- The bottom of the ninth started with a
Dane Lamont walk with Cairo entering to run for him. Cairo reached second via a walk and
Casey Willis bunted him over to third. A
Kyle Semrad walk set the stage for Orput who got the ball deep enough in the outfield for the 9-8 victory.
- The Eagles trailed 5-0 early as Lasell scored four runs in the first on just one hit. Edgewood College hit three batters in the frame, along with one walk, to help the Lasers take the early lead.
- The Eagles quickly got back in the game, scoring three runs in the second and two more in the third to tie the game at 5-5. Prindle had an RBI double in the second inning, while Semrad added one in the third. Lasell would take back the lead with two runs in the top of the sixth.

Matthew Turner delivered an outstanding relief appearance for the Eagles, throwing 5.2 innings and allowing just one run.
Eric Nelson picked up the win for Edgewood College by recording the final two outs in the ninth inning.
- Fields and Prindle each collected two hits and drove in two runs to pace the Eagles offense. Semrad and Orput joined the offensive attack with two hits each, while those two and Prindle each scored twice as well.
