RACINE, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Tennis team picked up its first win of the 2019 season by defeating the University of Dubuque, 5-4, in a neutral site non-conference match Friday. The Eagles followed that with a 9-0 setback against Carthage College, making their overall record 1-3 after two weekends of play.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the win over the Spartans, the Eagles picked up victories in five of the six matches played as three of the Spartans wins came via default.

Marius Dornhagen Schradermeier,
Sabastion Seeger, and
Tommy Ebben all went 2-0 against the Spartans. Dornhagen Schradermeir posted a 6-4, 6-1 singles win and he and Seeger partnered for an 8-4 No. 1 doubles victory as well.
- Playing in the No. 2 singles position, Seeger netted a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Ebben cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 4 singles.
- The No. 2 doubles team of Ebben and
Jackson Venske posted an 8-2 victory for Edgewood College against Dubuque as well.
- The Eagles ended the day in a tough matchup against a talented Carthage College squad. Carthage posted four wins in straight sets in singles play, and won the two doubles matches contested as well.
