MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Soccer team was shut out, 3-0, in a NACC home match against Concordia University Chicago Saturday. The loss eliminates the Eagles from NACC Tournament contention.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Concordia Chicago (9-7, 6-4 NACC) struck early in the first half and added two late second half goals. The game-winning score came in the seventh minute on a header by Alexis Gallegos. Fabian Aranda started the play with a corner kick, finding Gallegos for the goal.
- The final two scores came in the 73rd and 79th minutes, both from Ryan Kuhlman. Kuhlman's first goal was assisted by Michael Bogart, while his second score was a rebound off his own shot, which hit the post.
- Edgewood College (6-12-1, 3-7 NACC) finished with more shots (13-9) and placed seven of those shots on goal.
Jorge Castellanos fired three shots, two on goal for the Eagles.
- Jose Retana stopped all seven shots he faced in gaining the shutout for the Cougars.
Brandyn Storhoff finished with two saves for Edgewood College.

- Edgewood College will close its 2019 season Wednesday with a Senior Night home match against Wisconsin Lutheran College. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Breese Stevens Field.
