PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The Edgewood College Men's Soccer team was unable to mount a comeback against UW-Platteville on Monday night. The Eagles received a second-half goal from Sean Surtees, but were unable to slow down the Pioneers, falling by a 5-1 final.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- After trailing 4-0 with just 32 minutes left in the second half, Edgewood College (6-10-1) finally caught a break. Surtees found the back of the net for the Eagles via penalty kick in the 78th minute.
- The Pioneers quickly responded to the Eagles goal, as Diego Mancera scored the fifth and final goal of the match in the 83rd minute.
- For UW-Platteville (7-7-2), all five goals were scored by different players, four of which came off the bench.
- The Eagles were outshot, 25-6, for the match. The Edgewood College offense was much more active in the second half, taking five of six total shots coming out of the half.
- Brandyn Storhoff finished the match with 10 saves for the Eagles. For UW-Platteville, Will Sullivan and Nate Miller split goalkeeping duties right down the middle. Sullivan ultimately recorded all three saves for the Pioneers.

- The Eagles will take on Rockford University on Wednesday. The NACC matchup is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in Rockford, Ill.
