RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team struggled to find their offensive spark on Saturday afternoon, falling to Dominican University 3-0. The Stars stay perfect in the NACC, while snapping the Eagles three-match winning streak.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (5-11-1, 3-6 NACC) and Dominican University (14-1, 9-0 NACC) were scoreless through the first 30 minutes of action. In the 33rd minute Josseline Williams gave the Stars at 1-0 lead, finding the low right corner of the net.
- The Eagles managed to hold the Stars at one until the 52nd minute, when Daniela Tovar-Miranda sent one into the back of the net, assisted by Josseline Willams.
- Just eight minutes later Dominican University increased their lead to three, as Kayley Cruz found the back of the net.
- Goalkeeper Grace Wildeboer played a huge part in the match, making 14 saves, seven in each half.
- Dominican out shot Edgewood College 34-1, as Maddy Solder recorded the only shot for the Eagles.
