Eagles shutout Muskies, extend NACC streak to three

PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Soccer team extended their NACC winning streak to three in a 4-0 win over Lakeland University. The Eagles struck twice in the first half and poured on two more goals late in the second half for the conference victory on Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ashley Siegel got things going early for Edgewood College (5-10-1, 3-5 NACC) finding the back of the net in the 13th minute off a pass from Shannon Kaufmann.

- Just one minute later, Siegel made it 2-0 with her fifth goal of the season. The 2-0 lead would last through the half, despite the Eagles 18 shots in the first half.

- Just as it was looking like the Eagles would notch a 2-0 win, Olivia De Castro scored her second goal of the season in the 88th minute.

- Only 30 seconds later, Kristen Palmer tacked on a goal, giving the Eagles a 4-0 victory.

- The Edgewood College offense was on fire for the second night in a row, outshooting Lakeland University (3-11-1, 2-7 NACC) 35-0, with 18 shots on goal.

- The Eagles defense kept the Muskies from taking a shot Wednesday night for the Eagles third shutout of the season.
