MADISON, Wis. – The Edgewood College Women's Basketball ignited the Edgedome on Saturday afternoon in a 90-39 victory over Illinois Tech. The Eagles collected their tenth win of the season in their highest scoring game of the season. The 90-point win goes down in a tie for the ninth most points scored in Eagles history.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Edgewood College (10-7, 7-5 NACC) ended the first period leading 24-7 off a 20-2 run that was sparked by a three pointer from Abby Shane with just over five minutes remaining.
- The Eagles best shooting performance came in the second period as scoring was dominated by Shane with seven points and Alyssa Lemirande with five points. Edgewood College shot 57.9 percent from the floor and 100 percent from the charity stripe in the second period.
- It was another spectacular offensive performance from the Eagles, who finished with 90 points and surpassed 70 points for the fifth time, three of those coming in the past five games. Edgewood College shot 50.7 percent (37-for73) overall led by Shane with 14 points. In total, four Eagles shot in double digits as Maryn Ferron put up 11 points, Diamond Pikulyk finished with a season high 11 points, and Mady Pahl went 5-for-5 for a career-high of 10 points.
- The Eagles spread the ball around the court well finishing with a team total of 31 assists, the most assists in program history. Lemirande dished out a career-high eight assists and Brooke Lonigro added seven.
- The Edgewood College bench dominated with 49 points compared to just two from Illinois Tech. In addition, the Eagles controlled the boards (44-29) led by 10 from Delaney Wilhelm.
THE OPPOSITION
- Illinois Tech was led by Erin Efimoff who scored a team-best 18 points while Shannon O'Donnell put up 12 points and added six rebounds. Brook Rowan was solid for the Scarlet Hawks, finishing with seven rebounds and three steals.

- Edgewood College will begin a busy week of three NACC contests at home against Concordia Chicago on Tuesday. Action is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. in the Todd Wehr Edgedome.
