MADISON, Wis. - Despite playing with only five guys against Aurora, the Edgewood College men's tennis team still managed to pull out the impressive 5-4 victory in their second-straight win on Friday afternoon. With senior Evan Stone sitting out due to sickness, the Eagles still emerged victorious despite having to forfeit two of its matches.

HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Eagles faced an uphill battle right out of the gate with a pair of forfeits
-Since Stone was at the No. 1 spot in both singles and doubles, the remaining five Eagles had to play up a spot in the order
-Sabastion Seeger and Jackson Venske won at No. 1 doubles, 8-4, as the Eagles went into singles play down 2-1
-With wins at the top-4 singles spots, the Eagles put together their first win streak of the season and improved to 2-1 in conference play
-Seeger clinched the victory in a three-set battle at the No. 2 spot, 6-3, 2-6, 6-3
-Marius Dornhagen Schradermeier and Jackson Venske cruised to straight set victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots, respectively, while Ricky Thaden won his third straight singles match in a 7-6, 6-4 win at the No. 4 slot
-Seeger is now riding a four-match win streak in singles play, a season-best for any Eagle this year
FOR THE OPPONENTS
-Aurora dropped their sixth-straight match and stayed winless in conference play
-It was the Spartans closest defeat of their eight losses this season
-They have now been outscored 21-6 in conference play
