MADISON, Wis. – Dominican University proved why it stands alone atop the NACC Women's Soccer standings as the Stars defeated Edgewood College, 6-0, Saturday at Breese Stevens Field.
Grace Wildeboer finished with a career-best 16 saves for the Eagles in the NACC setback.
The Stars dominated possession throughout, scoring twice in the first half and four more times after the break for the 6-0 win. Josseline Williams scored three of the six Stars goals, giving the Dominican forward 20 for the season.
Wildeboer did her best to slow a potent Dominican offense by piling up a career-best 16 saves, but the Eagles offense got nothing going on Saturday. Dominican has yet to allow a goal in conference play this season, so Edgewood College is not the only team unable to solve the Stars.
The Eagles also had one team save on Saturday. Wildeboer recorded six saves in the opening half and added 10 more over the final 45 minutes.
Edgewood College will visit Alverno College for a NACC matchup Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
