Stars shutout Eagles in River Forest

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – Cold and windy conditions and the Dominican University defense put the Edgewood College team on ice in a 3-0 loss at West Campus Field. The two teams combined for just 10 total shots in the defensive struggle.

All three Dominican University (13-0-3, 6-0-2 NACC) goals came from the foot of Josseline Williams who extended her NACC leading total to 26 goals on the season. The first goal came just 43 seconds into the game, but the Eagles held the Stars scoreless the rest of the half. Williams scored again in the 57th and 77th minute to complete her hat trick.

Edgewood College (6-9, 2-6 NACC) totaled four shots for the game, although none were on goal. Mady Warda, Carrie Radomsky, Alisha Nolden and Madelyn Peach each had a shot for the Eagles. Edgewood College goalkeeper Grace Wildeboer made two saves, one in each half for the Eagles.

Edgewood College's scheduled game against UW-Whitewater on Monday night has been postponed and will be rescheduled shortly. The Eagles next game will be on Wednesday night against Alverno College at Breese Stevens Field.
