VERONA, Wis. – The Edgewood College men's soccer teams suffered their third-straight defeat at the hands of Aurora, 5-0, in their NACC opener on Saturday afternoon.

It was a competitive first half as the Eagles (3-4, 0-1 NACC) trailed at the break 2-0. Three goals by Aurora (3-3, 1-0 NACC) in a 13-minute span, starting in the 55th minute, boosted the lead to five and took the wind out of the Eagles' sails. Aurora's Ben Edith, currently tied for the NACC lead with six goals this season, led a Spartan team that featured five different scorers.

The Eagles allowed 22 shots, 11 in each half, and countered with nine of their own. Sophomore Nicholas Bilodeau paced the team with four shots attempted with two of them on goal. Goalkeeper Ethan Schneider picked up five saves in defeat.

The Eagles dropped to 2-9-3 in the all-time series and has lost four of the last five to the Spartans.

Next up for the Eagles is a trip to MSOE this Wednesday, September 21 at 7:00 p.m.
