MADISON, Wis. – With a 6-0 defeat to North Park, the Edgewood College men's soccer team saw their three-game winning streak snapped in their home opener on Sunday.
After allowing an opening goal in the 18th minute, the Eagles (3-2) trailed just 1-0 at halftime despite getting outshot, 8-3. The Vikings (3-1), picked to finish third in the CCIW, scored two quick goals in the 48th and 51st minutes to put the Eagles in a 3-0 hole and put the game out of reach.
With three shots attempted in the second half, the Eagles couldn't create enough opportunities against a Viking team that launched 24 total shots and received two goals on six shots from their bench. The Vikings' starting forward, Carel Kawele-Kuzona, scored his first two goals of the season in 57 minutes of play.

Victor Lombardino.

Ethan Schneider (3-2) recorded six saves, many of them acrobatic in nature, but surrendered six goals in his fifth start of the year.
The Eagles fell to 1-4-1 in the all-time series and last beat North Park in 2009 when the Vikings were ranked no. 8 in the country.
