PLYMOUTH, Wis. – Senior Taylor Pampuch came to play, and it showed after she scored all three of her goals in the first 14 minutes in the Edgewood College women's soccer team's rout of Lakeland University, 6-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Pampuch led an impressive Eagle attack that attempted a season-high 26 shots, including 17 on goal, in a dominant victory over the Muskies (2-12-1, 1-6 NACC). The Oconomowoc, Wis. native found the back of the net on a pair of passes from sophomore Mady Warda in the 7th and 9th minutes. Pampuch later added her eighth score of the year in the 14th.
Freshmen Hewan Schade and Shannon Kaufmann added the first goal of their careers thanks to a pair of junior Carley Hanko assists, while senior Emily Skaer scored her team-leading ninth goal of the season to cap the scoring in the 73rd minute.
The Eagles (11-3, 7-1 NACC) attempted more shots in the first half (18) than they have in any complete match this season. It was their 13th straight win over Lakeland and their sixth straight shutout.
Goalkeeper Sabelle Seabrook and Hannah Anderson split time in goal as the Eagles bounced back from their only NACC loss of the season with their sixth shutout in conference play.
Next up for the Eagles is a road match at Wisconsin Lutheran this Wednesday, October 19 at 7:00 p.m.
