MADISON, Wis. – It took less than 90 seconds for Edgewood College to get on the scoreboard against Alverno College, and once they started scoring it was a long time before they stopped. The Eagles scored nine goals in the first half on their way a 10-0 victory over the Inferno. The win marked Edgewood College's first NACC victory of the season.
Emily Skaer opened the scoring in the second minute of play off an assist from Taylor Pampuch. Skaer would finish with two goals in just 26 minutes of playing time. Pampuch tallied one goal and three assists, bringing her team-leading assist total with eight. Jennifer Dailey recorded her second career hat trick with goals in the sixth, 26th and 42nd minutes. Dailey's last hat trick came as a freshman in a win over Maranatha Baptist on September 20, 2012. Dailey and Skaer now share the team lead with five goals apiece.
Stevie Grable picked up an assist early in the game and later scored her third goal of the season, while Carley Hanko notched her second goal of the season. Two Eagles, Alisha Nolden and Mady Warda, scored their first career goals as college player.
Edgewood College (4-5, 1-2 NACC) outshot Alverno College (1-7, 0-3 NACC) 34-0 for the game. Sabelle Seabrook, Megan Bower and Hannah Anderson played in goal for the Eagles.
Edgewood College's next game will be Saturday when the Eagles travel to River Forest, Ill. to face Concordia University Chicago.
