MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Edgewood College women's volleyball team finished a very busy week in the best way possible, with three wins at the MSOE Quadrangular. With those three wins, the Eagles finished the week 5-0 and are on a five-game winning streak, their longest since 2006.

In the opener, the Eagles (7-6) faced off against host MSOE (1-16) in a five set match that went back-and-forth. After the teams exchanged identical 25-17 victories in the first two sets, the Eagles came away with a narrow 27-25 victory in set three. In that set the Eagles had a commanding lead of 24-17 however, the Raiders came back behind the serving of Kaylie Lenz to tie the set at 24. Freshman Mallory Palmer ended Lenz's streak as she pounded home of one her nine kills in the set. Edgewood College would then take two of the next three points to take the set.

MSOE would win set four to force the decisive fifth set. The Eagles extended their 7-5 lead to 10-5, behind Carmen Terriquez's stellar serving as she delivered back-to-back aces. Once again, Edgewood College would have to hold off an MSOE comeback to take the set 15-13 and the match 3-2.

In a rematch from Thursday night, Edgewood College was once again able to defeat Marian University (2-12), this time 3-1. The first set was tight the whole way as neither team was able to lead by more than four points. With the Eagles down 23-21, Kaylin Wayne drilled her second kill of the set. With Kim Lueck serving, Wayne then gave Edgewood College the lead with her third kill of the set. In her first match since returning to the team, senior Nina Brown gave the Eagles the set win with the fifth of her team-leading 13 kills in the match.

After the Sabres took set two, the Eagles won the final two sets 25-20 and 25-19 while hitting .306 and .244 in the sets, respectively.

To finish the day, Edgewood College topped Eureka College (4-10) 3-1. Just like in the first match of the day, both teams swapped first sets, this time by the identical scores of 25-16. However, unlike the first match the Eagles took the final two sets to win their third match of the day and fifth of the week.

The Eagles will not play again until Friday when they travel to Wheaton, Ill. where they will play in the Wheaton College Invitational. On Friday, they will play the University of Chicago at 3:30 p.m. and Cornell College at 5:30 p.m. and on Saturday they face off against host Wheaton at 10:00 a.m. and conference foe Lakeland College at noon.
