WHITEWATER, Wis. (Oct. 27, 2007) – UW-Oshkosh, ranked #9 in the CSTV/AVCA coaches’ poll swept Edgewood College 3-0 (14-30, 18-30, 23-30) in day two action at the UW-Whitewater Invitational Saturday morning.
This was the second time this season that the Eagles and Titans have faced off against each other in non-conference action. Edgewood College lost to the Titans 0-3 (11-30, 21-30, 16-30) in their first match-up on September 4th in DePere,Wis.
The loss drops the Eagles record to 9-20 on the year and 0-3 at the UW-Whitewater Invitational. Edgewood College lost yesterday 0-3 (16-30, 12-30, 24-30) to the #7 ranked and tournament host UW-Whitewater Warhawks. The Eagles also lost their second game of the night 0-3 (26-30, 19-30, 20-30) to the Illinois Wesleyan Titans.
Edgewood College has one game remaining today at 1 p.m. versus the UW-Platteville Pioneers, who come into the game ranked #6 in the Midwest region by the NCAA.
