Freshman Alex Kuffel smashed his PR in the long jump and impressed in the 100 meters at the University of Dubuque Open on Saturday to lead Edgewood College. Kuffel, a Cottage Grove, Wis., native, entered Saturday with a PR of 6.13 meters in the long jump but soared 6.55 in Dubuque. He also set a personal best in the 200 meters with a time of 23.27.
