In a pair of non-conference contests, Papenthien swept his opponents at No. 1 singles. The sophomore downed Lawrence's Brian DeCorte 6-2, 7-5 and UW-Oshkosh's Bobby Brooks 6-4, 6-4 to earn two of the Eagles' three points on the weekend. Papenthien and partner Patrick Lagman fell twice at No. 1 singles, but put up a strong fight dropping contests 8-6 and 8-5.
