Hering could not have asked for a better start in the Eagles' first meet of the 2013 season as she ran to victory in the 600 meter dash while also setting a school record. Hering's time of 1:45.95 broke a two-year old record by just over two seconds. Hering was also part of the 4 x 400 relay team that tallied a sixth place finish in a time of 4:33.15.
