The junior went 2-0 last week in matches against Rockford and Aurora. He won his No. 6 singles match to clinch the Eagles' 5-4 win over Aurora. After dropping the first set 6-7 (5-7) to Connor Propp, Gavinski came back and took the final two sets 6-3 and 6-1 to give the Eagles the win. Against Rockford he defeated Trey Welch 6-2, 6-1. Gavinski went 2-0 in both doubles and singles last week.
