Zander was the first Eagle in school history to break the two minute mark in the 800 meter run when he finished in 1:58.70 to set a new school record. He was the top collegiate runner in the field and placed second at the University of Wisconsin Red & White Classic. He also set a personal record in the 400 meter run with a time of 53.27 seconds.
