Berning finished second at the Tom Hoffman Invitational Saturday. The junior posted a time of 24:34.2 in the 6K, helping the Eagles to a second-place finish as a team. Edgewood College tied with host UW-Whitewater at 35 points each, but lost the tiebreaker to the Warhawks.
