Josh Hentrich '21 was named Edgewood University head coach prior to the start of the 2022-23 season. Hentrich added director of golf and athletics coordinator to his work at Edgewood University prior to the 2023-24 season.
Through his first two seasons at the helm of the women's golf program, Hentrich has led the team to one meet victory. Under his leadership, the Eagles have moved up the leaderboard at the NACC Championship and seen vast improvement in scores over the course of his seasons. Hentrich has coached one CSC Academic All-District selection in Braxton Brown.
Hentrich is quite familiar with Edgewood University, having graduated in 2021 with a bachelor's degree in business after spending four seasons as a member of the Edgewood University Men's Golf team. Hentrich ended his career as an Eagle with the fourth-best average (77.02) in Edgewood University Men's Golf history. Hentrich was a four-time NACC Scholar-Athlete, twice named Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-American Scholar, and named All-NACC after a second place finish at the 2018-19 NACC Championship.
Hentrich has vast experience in the golf world outside of Edgewood University. He worked at the Legend of Bergamont in Oregon, Wisconsin. Hentrich has spent the majority of his time as staff in the pro shop, but also has experience with outside service.
Prior to his time at Edgewood University, Hentrich was a three-sport athlete at Lancaster High School, earning a total of nine varsity letters in golf, football, and basketball. Throughout his decorated career, he has been named conference player of the year, is a four-time First Team All-Conference selection, named Academic All-State four times, top-25 at state four times, including a top-10 performance, one state team championship, and two-time regional tournament champion.
