2021: NACC Scholar-Athlete…Competed in one indoor meet and five outdoor meets…Set the school record in the long jump with a leap of 5.10 meters at the Mustang Invitational (May 1)…Was the second time she set the school record in the event during the season, also doing so with a leap of 4.98 meters at the UW-Platteville Invitational (April 10)…Ran a PR time of 13.57 in the 100-meter dash at the NACC Outdoor Championships (May 7-8)…Was also on the fourth-place 4X100-meter relay at the NACC Championships…Posted a PR of 29.7 in the 200-meter dash at the UW-Platteville Invitational.
2020: NACC Scholar-Athlete…Competed at five meets during the indoor season…Outdoor season was canceled due to COVID-19…Opened season with a third-place finish in the long jump at the UW-Oshkosh Early Bird Invite (December 7, 2019) with an indoor school record of 4.73 meters…Was on the third-place 4X200-meter relay team at the UW-Platteville Select (February 1).
2019: NACC Scholar-Athlete…Competed at nine meets in sprinting events and jumps…Entered the Eagles honor roll list in the 100-meter dash at the NACC Outdoor Championships (May 3-4) after running a 13.83…Was also on the seventh-place 4X100-meter relay team at the NACC meet…Leaped 4.38 meters in the long jump at the NACC Indoor Championships (February 23) and also competed in the 55-meter dash with a time of 8.32.
2018: NACC Scholar-Athlete…Competed in nine meets, primarily as a sprinter and long jumper... Made the third-longest outdoor long jump mark in school history (4.81m/15'9.5") in a 10th -place showing at the NACC Outdoor Championships on May 4-5... Finished fifth in 4x100m relay at NACC Outdoors with the ninth-fastest time in school history (53.35)... Set the school record in indoor long jump with a mark of 4.69m/15'4.75" in 12th-place finish at NACC Indoor Championships, she now owns top-3 indoor long jump marks in school history... Some personal bests include: 55m (8.02), 60m (8.66), 100m (13.84), 200m (29.92)... NACC Scholar-Athlete.
High School: Ran track for Parkview High School under head coach Shane Suehring... As a senior, set the 4x200m relay school record and qualified for the state meet and also set the 4x100m relay school record... Set the pole vault school record of 9'3"... Qualified for state in the 4x100m relay as a junior... Ran three years of cross country with a 5k personal best of 22:04.
Personal: Majoring in Medical Science - Sonography... Parents are Roxanne and Alan Connell... Was in the Top-10 of her graduating class and finished in the top Honor Roll... Also involved Spanish Club, National FFA Organization, National Honors Society, Concert/Jazz/Show choir band, and the Rock Valley Honors band... She grew up within a farming community and family, breeds and raises her own chickens, and has played in the Wisconsin State Fair Honors band.
Why Edgewood College?: "I choose Edgewood College because Edgewood has my intended major of Medical Science with a concentration in Sonography and its relationship with the surrounding hospitals such as the UW Hospital and St. Mary's. I also find Edgewood to be a great community with outstanding professors and a location that is not too far from home."
